French culture and cuisine week to open in Vietnam
The French culture and cuisine week put on by the French Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City will open at Vatel Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City from April 8th to 16th.
There are three main events in the week: The French cuisine exchange week, a photo exhibition on France and a singing contest in French.
The French cuisine exchange, to take place from April 9th to 15th, will gather famous chefs such as Patrick Berenger from Vatel Saigon Restaurant and Didier Corlou from La Verticale restaurant to introduce the special tastes of French and Vietnamese cuisine.
France’s beauty will be introduced at a photo exhibition, “A Glance of France”, by four Vietnamese photographers: Hoang The Nhiem, Nguyen Phuong, Le Quan and Le Bien at the Vatel Saigon Restaurant.
The final activity in the week is a singing contest in French which attracts many contestants of all ages to register.
The top three contestants will perform with professional singers at the final round at IDECAF stage on April 16th. The winner will receive a trip to Paris for two, worth 100 million VND.
